I turned five, started kindergarten, and all in all became a big girl in 2008! I grew tall but didn't lose any baby teeth. I graduated from Little Mud Puddles Preschool in summer. My final days there, I had a good time. I was the teachers' helper at all times. I had lots of fun with my best friend, Jazzie. Though I was eager to go to a big school, I was sad to leave my teachers and friends at Mud Puddle's. I made sure I went back and visited them for Christmas. I started Kindergarten in September. I was a bit nervous in the beginning. But soon I was the teachers' pet both at school and the Y, and loving it so much that I preferred weekdays to weekends! It helped that chechy was there and I even got Mrs. Niheu, chechy's kindergarten teacher as my teacher too. I learned a lot, reading, writing, math, and more. My teachers were impressed with my performance. Mrs. Niheu told mummy & daddy that I was one of the smartest kindergarteners, and also one of the most caring and helpful five year old, she had ever seen! My only problem, getting very upset when I made a mistake! I started piano lessons with Ms.Sylvia and Carnatic music classs with Rashmi aunty. I stopped the tap and jazz class after the summer program and started learning Bollywood dance. I even did a Diwali performance. I resumed my swimming classes and started art classes. I expressed quite a few feminist views and strongly supported Hillary Clinton in her bid for the Presidency. I continued to enjoy playing with chechy and her friends but made friends of my own age too. I had fun play dates, and parties. I finally started sleeping with chechy in our room. We went on some interesting trips in 2008. Spent the summer in India, and even went on a trip to Deli and Agra. Went on a fun trip to Disneyland in spring and on a cruise to Baja California during the Christmas break. I am growing up fast......
