On our second day in Japan, we took a tour to Mount Fuji and the Hakone gardens, conducted by Sunrise Tours..

At the Mount Fuji visitor center. We couldn't see the top of the volcano from there because of the fog.

First glimpse of the top of Mount Fuji as we climbed almost to the fifth station.

In the tour bus with a new friend, Thomas. He was also from California and was on his way to visit his grandparents in Korea.

In the fog near Lake Ashi. We couldn't see anything during our cruise through the lake or drive through Hakone gardens because of the fog!

At Odewara Station - the Shinkansen we took for the trip back to Tokyo.
